MT’s Digital Activation Story
After a change in ownership, MT needed to revamp and build its full digital presence. We met with CEO Yann Fischer to discuss his business objectives, and started laying out an action plan on the digital side.
To position MT as a digital leader for new and used industrial steel machines in Switzerland.
We performed a complete strategic digital audit.
- Externally, we studied clients needs and segments, benchmarked competition and best practices, to understand who MT’s competitors were in the digital space, and identify a digital strategy from their SWOT.
- Internally, we started with an assessment of MT’s current digital performance. We worked on understanding key differentiation factors for MT, and key success factors for the digital transition.
We designed, tested and built a website that would deliver on the selected KPIs. We agreed on a clean, efficient and simple website. Focus was on conversion performance, information clarity and ease of use.
We created the necessary content to ensure the website’s 70 pages contain all of the necessary information to make the website a helpful and up-to-date reference for MT’s clients and potential leads.
To be able to track KPIs regularly – on the whole funnel – we installed different trackers from MarTech tools we trust, including Google Analytics, Segment, Heap Analytics, GTM, Google Optimize, Google Webmaster Tools and Hotjar.
Results and Performance
We have reached our v.1 SEO objectives: our priority keywords are reaching Google’s first page, generating the necessary organic traffic, leads and the first sales. We’re now working on constantly growing the traffic volume and have initiated the endless feedback loop of conversion rate optimization.

We needed a simple and effective user interface based on the agreed marketing priorities. We used WordPress & WooCommerce using Genesis framework.
Competition study helped us identify Search Engine Optimization objectives. We designed website copy and content accordingly, to start building our client digital leadership on his market.
